How will your gift impact the communities?

Women gather for a health and hygiene training, focusing on handwashing.

People will LIVE because of life-saving medical care.

Community members receive hands-on instruction to keep themselves and their families safe, and training programs empower women to become health educators within the community Together, these women provide valuable health care education to targeted households in the community, and help to develop the training curriculum based on critical health issues that they face.. Donations also support direct medical care for families within the community, including medical examinations, de-worming, vaccinations, and targeted care for high-risk needs.

If all students in low-income countries left school with basic reading skills, 171 million people could be lifted out of poverty – a 12% cut in world poverty. (UNESCO)

People will LEARN through access to education.

Three Roots works to minimize the indirect costs of sending children to school and offers teacher training and incentives, resources and supplies for the school, and adult education programs around literacy, life skills, and more. The community’s youngest and most vulnerable children are protected, educated and nurtured through early childhood development programs to help foster physical, cognitive and social growth. Donations support critical needs within our Early Childhood Development Center, as well as literacy and life skills training's for
women in the community.

Savings groups empower women to
create their own sources of income,
such as basket-making.

People will EARN the income they need to support
their families.

Savings groups for women offer training on how to develop and implement a business idea, manage a business, save money, and more. These groups provide a community for women to support one another, as they work towards contributing to a sustainable and predictable income for the family. Donations go to support these groups, providing valuable training and small business loans to women, as well as mentorship and accountability. Savings group members are equipped with an actionable plan to earn income and the satisfaction of knowing that they can support their families’ well-being.
